For over 36 years I was an art teacher, spending the majority of that time in a local high school. In my own studio, I primarily worked in clay, specifically sculptural forms. I also dabbled in wood working and welding. Now retired, I am an artist maker investing all of my efforts in developing my wood craft, adding in other materials as desired. I am mostly self-taught in this media but believe craftsmanship and aesthetic quality are an extremely important part of the creative process.
